Social Activities in Paris · In English

Do what you love. Meet people who love it too.

Pick something you'd do anyway: painting, a photo walk, board games, volleyball. When your hands are busy, talking to new people stops feeling like work. Everything runs in English, and most people show up alone.

Why It Works

The activity does the heavy lifting

We started Hold My Club because meeting people in a new city shouldn't feel like a job interview. So every event is built around actually doing something.

  1. Built for talking to people

Every format pairs you up, mixes the teams, or rotates the tables. Meeting people is part of the game itself, so nobody has to work the room.

  2. You end up talking about yourself

Paint your comfort food. Retell your best trip in French. Guess what people lie about on a first date. The prompts are little windows into whoever’s sitting next to you.

Questions

Before you come

Do I need to be good at the activity?
No. Every event is built for beginners, and most of the room is trying the thing for the first time.
Is everything in English?
Yes. Hosting, instructions and conversation. You don’t need any French. Most attendees are internationals living in or visiting Paris, plus locals who like an English-speaking evening.
Can I come alone?
Please do. About 60% of attendees come solo, and the formats are built around it, with small groups and hosts who make introductions.
How do I sign up?
Every event lives on our Luma calendar. Tickets, venue and timing are on each event page.
How often do events happen?
One or two a week, across different activities. The full calendar lives on Luma.
How do I hear about new events?
Leave your email in the form below, or follow our Luma calendar. New events show up there first, and the good spots go fast.
